Things to do before bed for a perfect night’s sleep.

With work being digitized and you having to always be available, getting the right hours of sleep is essential. Contrary, some nights are strenuous for varied reasons. The solution that seems right is to maximize the quality of sleep. Studies have shown that certain activities or certain changes in habits when done guarantee a good night’s sleep which leaves you charged for the coming day. The following are some things you can do to achieve the same -

1. Set a Schedule

As human beings, we have a circadian rhythm, which is why we need to set a sleep cycle. Having a fixed sleeping schedule will help you get better sleep, it is the best first change you can make. The tighter your schedule and the more you stick by it, the better you will sleep!

2. Power down your gadgets

You have probably been witness to scrolling on social media for what you call 10
minutes that turn into an hour with a blink of an eye. This can be a result of varied
reasons, which is why it is always advised to power down your devices at least an hour or two before you go to bed. This way you clear your head of any distractions before you go to bed.

3. A bedtime ritual

Having a relaxing bedtime ritual always helps when it comes to a good night’s sleep. It can be writing in your diary, reading a book before bed, or practicing mindfulness.Irrespective of an act, it gives you a way to indulge in something that calms you do. This will help you sleep better.

4. Sleep on a Good Mattress

A Lot of our backache problems and broken sleep issues are results of uncomfortable mattresses. When we sleep on mattresses for far too long they tend to sink forming a ditch. While this might not seem like a visible problem to one’s eye, in reality, your body tends to notice the ditch and hence causes irregular sleep patterns and uncalled body ache. Having a mattress that is of stellar quality and made to scientifically help you sleep longer and better will help regulate your sleep schedule and assist in you having a comfortable sleep.

5. Try not to stress

Most of our sleepless nights exist because of how much we tend to stress before we go to bed. Stress causes us to stay up longer than anticipated and makes it relatively difficult to go to sleep with. When you make sure your mind is in a clear and calm space it is much easier to fall into an easy and deep sleep.

When you have a proper sleep schedule, a clear mind and ritual to support it, a nice mattress that encourages sleep, and a clear and calm stress-free mind you are guaranteed to fall asleep almost instantly. Sleeping is like refuelling your body, making it an important factor to focus on if you require yourself to be more productive when the next day arrives.
